Bud Frogs 3 (aka Bugs Life):

This one is a new variant (April 1999) that is just a minor tweak of the Bud Frogs hoax.

Bud Frogs 4 (aka Budweiser Screen Saver):

Virus Warning received from Microsoft of new Virus,
You may receive an apparently harmless Budweiser screen saver, entitled 'BUDDYLST.SIP' If you do - DO NOT OPEN IT UNDER ANY
CIRCUMSTANCES, Once opened, you will lose EVERYTHING on your PC.  Your hard disk will be completely destroyed and the person who sent you the message will have access to your name and password via the Internet.  As far as we know the virus was circulated yesterday morning.  It's a new virus, and
extremely dangerous.  Please copy this information and email to everyone in your address book. We need to do all we can to block this virus. AOL, Demon and now BT Internet has confirmed  how dangerous it is, and there is no Anti-Virus program as yet which is capable of destroying it.
Please take all necessary precautions, and pass this information on to your friends, acquaintances and work colleagues.

There is no such virus and of course these are all hoaxes. Rumours persist that this screen saver DOES exist, but that it is perfectly harmless. (I actually have a copy of this screen saver [Bud Frogs] and the copy I have is neither a trojan or virus infected.)

Please ignore any messages regarding this supposed "virus" and do not pass on any messages regarding it. Passing on messages about this hoax serves only to further propagate it.

LATE NEWS: There appears to have been at least one "real" trojan version in a zip file named "frnkloui.zip" (2,682kb) the trojan file was named "budlizards_lg.exe" (2,696kb). This seems to be the Bud Lizards trojan I have recently started to hear about.
